February 2008 Newsletter
Dear Parents,
I am writing to let you know that I will be taking early retirement in July. I have had a very happy 12 years at the school, but it is now time for me to move on. The governors have started the process to find a new Headteacher for the school.
Good News!
Thanks to one of our parents our application to be part of a ‘Green Fingers Project’ run by Yorkshire Water has been successful! Over the next year we will have help to develop our nature garden and a quiet, reflective area in the grounds.
Cycle Rack
This has been a long time coming, but at long last we hope to have a cycle rack installed ready for use in the summer term! It will be placed adjacent to the adventure playground.
Lateness
The attendance officer, who monitors the attendance of pupils, has noticed that the numbers of pupils arriving late, [which is after 9.00 am], is increasing. Please make sure your child arrives before 9.00 am. Both entrances to school open at 8.50 am.
If you haven’t received your school calendar amendment please notify the office and it will be sent to you.

All the children will take part in some interesting science activities this week, so do not forget to ask them what they have been learning. Mrs Chapman will be sending out more information in the next few weeks.
